COVID-19: ACE2 substrates
ACE2 is a peptidase of the renin-angiotensin system. ACE2 cleaves Angiotensin II to Angiotensin (1-7), Angiotensin I to Angiotensin (1-9), and Angiotensin A to Alamandine. It also acts on other peptides: apelin, dynorphin, des-Arg9-bradykinin, neurotensin, ghrelin.
