SECRET
A SEquence-based CRystallizability EvaluaTorSECRET tries to answer the following questions:
"What is the chance that my soluble protein will crystallize?"
"Which of my soluble proteins have the best/worst chances to crystallize?"
The prediction is based on a classifier trained with the dataset SMALL. For more details read the short method description and/or reference.
The classifier will give sensible results only if provided with sequences of soluble proteins.
The input protein sequences are categorized into two classes: YES - crystallizable; NO - non-crystallizable. Additionally the probability of a class (from 0.5 to 1.0) is provided. The probability threshold value is set by default to 0.5. By increasing it one can expect higher classification precision (selectivity) and lower recall (sensitivity). If the result cannot be calculated, a comment is written.
