General Search
The ‘General search’ performs simultaneous searches across several attributes.
It is especially suited for queries where comprehensiveness rather than specificity is required. A
query for ‘proteasome’ e.g. reveals not only all proteasome complexes but also all complexes that
contain a proteasomal subunit. The ‘General Search’ queries the following data:
Complex nameThe search term does not necessarily to contain the complete protein complex term. It is also
possible to search with partial names (e.g. SNARE) to obtain groups of related complexes.
Complex IDSearches for the complex ID which is provided by CORUM.
Gene name
Covers gene names and gene name synonyms provided by UniProt (e.g.
Snap25). Parts of gene names can also be used.
Protein name
Covers protein names and protein name synonyms provided by UniProt (e.g.
Small nuclear ribonucleoprotein F). Parts of protein names can also be
used.
MfunGD
In CORUM, for annotated protein complex subunits the orthologous proteins from
mouse are presented. To search for a respective MfunGD entry one has to enter the MfunGD identifier
(e.g.
mc13001539).
PMID
UniProt acc
Requires a
UniProt accession (e.g. P07901) as input.
