Comment A significant increase in proinflammatory cytokines (MCP-1, IL-6, TNF-alpha, IL-1beta, RANTES, IL-2, IL-10) was seen in wild-type mice after 8 weeks of HFD compared with ND. No such increase in the proinflammatory mediators was seen in the C3aR-/- mice on HFD; in wild-type and C3aR-/- mice on ND the leves were comparable.
