Reference: Hritonenko V et al.(2011) Adenylate cyclase activity of Pseudomonas aeruginosa ExoY can mediate bleb-niche formation in epithelial cells and contributes to virulence Microb. Pathog. 51: 305-312 [PMID: 21843628]

Interaction Information:

Comment P. aeruginosa ExoY mediates bleb-niche formation in corneal epithelial cells. ExoY, in the absence of ExoS or ExoT, can enable P. aeruginosa to form and traffic to bleb-niches. ExoY-mediated bleb-niche formation, in the absence of other known T3S effectors, requires adenylate cyclase activity, without which bacteria traffic to perinuclear vacuoles.
