Pseudomonas aeruginosa/mammalia
Human telomerase-immortalized corneal epithelial cells (hTCEpi), infected with P. aeruginosa strain PAO1
Reference: Angus AA et al.(2010) The ADP-ribosylation domain of Pseudomonas aeruginosa ExoS is required for membrane bleb niche formation and bacterial survival within epithelial cells Infect. Immun. 78: 4500-4510 [PMID: 20732998]

Interaction Information:

Comment Mutation of exoS results in loss of bleb niche formation and lack of intracellular replicative capacity. Comparison of mutants that contained multiple-effector deletions revealed that ExoS had the ability to enable bleb niche formation. The bleb niche-forming efficiency of ExoY-expressing PAO1 was low and was not observed for ExoT-expressing PAO1.
