TEM translocation assay, candidate genes, fused to the C-terminal end of beta-lactamase, transformed on pCBTEM
Weber MM et al.(2013) Identification of Coxiella burnetii type IV secretion substrates required for intracellular replication and Coxiella-containing vacuole formation J. Bacteriol. 195: 3914-3924
Expression of C. burnetii candidate genes, investigated by a bioinformatics approach, as a TEM-1 beta-lactamase fusion protein led to the identification of 53 substrates that were translocated in a Dot/Icm-dependent manne.
