C57BL/6J mice or human lung microvascular endothelial cells (HLMVECs), infected with P. aeruginosa strain PA103
Fu P et al.(2013) Role of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate-reduced oxidase proteins in Pseudomonas aeruginosa-induced lung inflammation and permeability Am. J. Respir. Cell Mol. Biol. 48: 477-488
P. aeruginosa infection activates NF-kappa-B pathway both in vivo in mouse lung and in vitro in endothelial cells. In addition it has been shown that P. aeruginosa-induced expression of NOX2 (CYBB) and NOX4 proteins in endothelial cells or in the lungs is mediated by the NF-kappa-B signaling pathway.
