pathogen-host system
Coxiella burnetii/mammalia
THP-1 cells or Vero cells, infected with phase I or phase II C. burnetii
Reference: Voth DE and Heinzen RA(2009) Sustained activation of Akt and Erk1/2 is required for Coxiella burnetii antiapoptotic activity Infect. Immun. 77: 205-213 [PMID: 18981248]

Interaction Information:

Comment The infection of THP-1 cells with C. burnetii phase II caused transient phosphorylation of c-Jun, Hsp27, JNK, and p38. The phosphorylation levels dramatically increased at 2 hpi, followed by a decline to near basal levels by 24 hpi, as shown in a Bio-Plex assay and immunoblot analysis.
