Reference: Okuda J et al.(2010) Translocation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa from the intestinal tract is mediated by the binding of ExoS to an Na,K-ATPase regulator, FXYD3 Infect. Immun. 78: 4511-4522 [PMID: 20805335]

Interaction Information:

Comment Western blot analysis and confocal imaging revealed that infection of Caco-2 cells with the wild-type or delta-exoS/exoS strain reduced the levels of expression of ZO-1 and occludin leading to disruption of the tight junction structure. The infection with the delta-exoS strain was used as control.
