Comment Pyocyanin, exotoxin A, lectin PA-1L, and elastase are strongly affected by the inactivation of oprF. When the cells were grown to the entry into the stationary phase, a significant reduction of the elastase amount secreted by oprF mutant H636 was observed. If grown to stationary phase, the elastolytic activity of the oprF mutant strain was found to be similar to the activities of the two other strains, indicating that the production of elastase is delayed but not abrogated.
