Comment There was a wild-type PA3 induced marked phosphorylation of SEK1/MKK4, SAPK/JNK, and c-Jun between 4.5 and 7.5 h after infection. Following infection with the delta-exoU mutant of PA3, the phosphorylation of both SEK1/MKK4 and SAPK/JNK was markedly reduced compared to that observed following infection with the wild-type strain. In addition, the phosphorylation of c-Jun was also significantly diminished compared to that observed with the wild-type strain.
