Comment ExoU induced a robust inflammatory response in mice airways. Concentrations of total white blood cells, IL-6 and TNF-alpha in BALF (bronchoalveolar lavage fluids) from PA103-infected mice were significantly higher than in noninfected mice and from mice infected with the PA103 delta-exoU mutant.
