Interaction Information:

Comment ExoY is an effector produced by some strains of P. aeruginosa that shares homology to the calmodulin-activated adenylate cyclase toxins CyaA (Bordetella) and EF (Bacillus). The absence of the calmodulin-binding site suggests that unlike other bacterial adenylate cyclases, ExoY is not activated by calmodulin and this was indeed the case, although ExoY still requires a host cytosolic factor for activation.
